Get started: Creating an account
Signing up with Formaloo is free, and upgrading your plan to access more features is always an option!
When you sign up with Formaloo, a workspace is automatically created for you. It's where everything takes place. In other words, it's where you create, manage, share, and analyze your data.
To set up your workspace, we will ask you a few questions that will customize your workspace - like your name, workspace's name, subdomain if you're in the team, and if you want to invite collaborators to your workspace.
After this, your workspace will look like this - ready to customize and add data!
Before adding content, if you'd like to customize the look of your workspace, you can achieve it by clicking on the profile icon on the top right side of the page and going to workspace settings.
From here you can add a profile picture, change the workspace title, and subdomain, and set up custom domains. In workspace settings, you also see the plan you have. If you'd like to upgrade from the free plan, you can click on Change plan.
Step 1: Create your first project
Depending on what you want to create with Formaloo, everything is accessible from your workspace. To add a project, click on + New Formaloo.
Now you can decide what you want to create. You can either start from scratch by following our tutorials or choose from our 200+ templates!
Whichever one you choose, we already have a ready template for you that can be fully customized according to your liking. Let's create a survey for example.
This is what it will look like. We'll explain what every part of this page means.
1 - From here you can add an image and change the name of your survey. This is how the survey will be displayed on your dashboard.
2 - These menus are automatically created for each survey. The first one is the survey, it's where we landed. Two other menus are created for viewing and analyzing survey responses (We'll explain this further later);
3 - From here you can insert different blocks like form, table, Kanban, chart, and so on. It's where you decide what will be shown in different menus and how your data will be displayed.
4 - By clicking on the edit base you get to customize the survey.
Step 2: Customize your formaloo
To edit your survey/form, you need to click on edit base. From here you'll be taken to the editor.
You can start by adding the survey name, description, logo, and cover photo.
Let's start adding content!
To add new fields, you have to click on the + icon displayed. It will open up a menu from where you can choose the type of question you want to add to your survey. You can either choose: yes/no, single-choice, multiple-choice, CSAT, 0-10 scale; add email, phone, date, place, signature fields and so much more!
From the right sidebar, you can manage settings, design, and notifications of the form. Let's briefly explain what each does.
📝 Additional insights: To better understand what field types Fomaloo offers and which are best for your case, we have a collection of articles with detailed information about each and every field type!
Adjust main features: From settings, you can decide if the form is active, the language of the form, when the form should be active, set a timer, limit one entry with IP, send form data to redirect URL, manage SEO & Meta tags, use custom Js, auto-translation, show tracking code after submit, allow partial submits(Auto Save), set up a payment and customize more content.
Personalize your form: The design tab allows for full customization of the form to match it to your brand image. You can change the display by changing colors, defining if questions should be displayed on one page or one at a time, deciding what to show on the display, add a background image if needed.
Stay informed: From the notify tab, you can decide to receive notification once the survey/form is submitted in real-time, if this notification will be sent to someone else too, and whether respondents get email notification too.
Set up logic and calculations
Formaloo Logic gives your app and database multiple functionalities in a very simple way. It lets you decide how your form/survey behaves - you can create any conditions you want, logic jumps, and criteria you want to customize your app or form.
You can either set up a basic logic or a more complex, advanced logic with different conditions and rules.
Step 3: Share your formaloo
Once you're done creating your formaloo, you can share it straight from the editor. Just click on share - it will open up the share and access management menu.
From the address window, you can copy the link to formaloo to share and also set up a custom domain for the form.
If your workspace has more members (other than yourself), you can decide who has what kind of access to the form from access management.
If you'd like to embed your formaloo, Formaloo also offers several options for it. And don't forget - all of this can be done with using 0 codes! To embed a form into your website, you can copy the embed link and paste the code we give to you. You can also display it as a chatbot.
Step 4: View & analyze responses
Once you design your formaloo, share it with respondents, and get results, this is how you can view and analyze responses.
Your app will be in your dashboard, once you click on it, as we mentioned before, we already created menus for responses for you. You can just click on those and see results displayed in different forms - charts, tables, Kanban, or gallery.
For example, this is what a table of results can look like, which can be sorted and filtered as you wish. You can also click on edit base which will bring you back to editing the form. From settings you can change the display - either change the type of how results are displayed, choose which columns to show, filter by row, sort and delete the table of results if needed.
This is how the charts would look, and the same applies here. You can click on settings to alter the display of results.
Importing and exporting the data
If you already have data you'd like to import to Formaloo, you can do it from Excel or Google Sheets. Please note that when you import a file, Formaloo creates a new formaloo for you and imports all of your data.
To export the results, open your app and click on the 'Responses' page. From the three dots, you can select 'New export' or 'Download latest export'. You also have an option to download the responses as an Excel file.
With Formaloo, you also have an option to transfer data between two forms.
Step 6: Collaborate with your team
Formaloo was built with a collaboration mindset. To make the process smoother, with Formaloo, you can manage who has access to what data. We offer 10 access levels - including sharing access to apps, folders, forms, and even data rows! With guaranteed data security.
