How to use the notify tab options

This article provides a step-by-step explanation of the options available in the Notify tab.

These options allow you to manage how notifications are sent to users, admins, and other recipients.

From sending email confirmations to form submitters to generating PDFs of submissions, the Notify tab provides powerful tools to keep everyone informed.

Below is a detailed guide on how to use each option in the Notify tab of the Formaloo editor:

1- Send email to respondents

Enable this option to send a copy of the submitted data to the user who filled out the form.

This is useful for providing users with a record of their submission or confirming that their submission was successfully received.

Tip: To use this feature, make sure you have included an email field in your form to collect the respondent's email address.

2- Generate PDFs of submissions

By enabling this option, a PDF version of each form submission is generated.

This feature can be particularly useful if you need a downloadable or printable version of the data for record-keeping, contracts, or official documents.

Note: You can attach these PDF files to the email notifications by adding the variable ID of pdf_link to your email template, ensuring submitters or admins receive a copy directly via email.

3- Email template

Here, you can choose a pre-built email template or create your own custom email template.

This allows you to personalize the emails sent to respondents, ensuring that the message aligns with your branding or specific communication needs.

Formaloo provides a default template, but you can easily modify or design one to suit your preferences.

4- Receive email notifications

Activate this option if you want to be notified each time a new form response is submitted.

By entering your email address in the "Send email to" field, you'll receive an alert for every new submission.

5- Forward submit email to

Use this option to forward submission notifications to up to 5 additional email addresses.

This is ideal for ensuring that multiple team members receive the form data.

Tip: If you want to forward emails to multiple recipients, you can add a space after each email to enter up to 5 email addresses in the Forward to email section.

Customization: If you're using a custom email template, select it from the dropdown to ensure the forwarded email follows your preferred format.

6- Admin email template

This option allows you to select a custom email template specifically for admin notifications.

By customizing this template, you can ensure that your team members receive formatted emails that include relevant details about the submission.

Admin emails can be configured to include submission data, summaries, or next-step instructions, depending on your operational needs.

In the old dashboard, ​you should add a space after each "forward to" email to save it.
