Formaloo keeps on evolving toward a very simple principle: you should only pay for what you actually use – and you should always see it clearly.
The new Add-ons page is designed around transparency, predictability, and control. Instead of forcing plan upgrades when you outgrow your current capacity, it lets you:
See exactly what you’re using
Understand what’s included in your plan
Purchase add-ons only when you need them
Top up credits without switching your base subscription
This gives you granular control and unprecedented flexibility as you gradually grow.
ℹ️ Add-ons are available on paid plans only.
If you’re on the Free plan, you can still review the Add-ons dashboard, but purchasing add-ons requires upgrading to a paid plan first.
How Formaloo pricing works?
Formaloo pricing now consists of two transparent layers:
1. Base plan
Your starting point. You pick a plan that fits your current needs and includes the core features and capacity you expect to need as a baseline.
💡 You can compare plans and features on our pricing page to find the right fit for your needs.
2. Add-ons
Optional top-ups driven by your actual usage – allow for modular expansion with clear visibility into what you’re paying for.
💡 In practice, this means you start with a plan that covers your expected day-to-day usage, and then can use add-ons for newly-emerging needs or occasional projects – whether that’s launching a new flow, running a new type of campaign, onboarding more team members, or increasing automation.
You stay in control of your growth, expanding only when your workspace truly needs it.
What is the Add-ons page?
The new Add-ons page will now appear in the top right corner of your Formaloo dashboard.
ℹ️ Note that only workspace admins can access the Add-ons page to review the workspace usage and available add-ons.
➔ Workspace usage tab
The Workspace usage tab gives you a clear overview of your current plan. For each tracked feature, you’ll see:
Your current limit based on your plan + add-ons purchased,
The current usage stats,
A clear indicator showing how close you are to hitting the limit.
ℹ️ Usage indicators:
For usage-based limits, you’ll see current usage against your active limit (for example, “107 MB out of 102400 MB cloud storage used”),
For credit-based limits, you'll see the number of remaining credits,
Unlimited features are clearly labeled as such.
➔ Available add-ons tab
The Available add-ons tab gives you a clear overview of all add-ons you can add to your workspace, including:
What each one unlocks,
The capacity options available,
The pricing for available packages, or monthly vs annual options.
ℹ️ If you approach or reach a limit, we’ll notify you by email, so you can expand any relevant limit in time and avoid any interruptions to your workflow.
Understanding add-ons types: usage-based vs credit-based
The Add-ons page separates three different concepts: unlimited features, usage-based add-ons, and credit-based ones with non-expiring credits.
1. Unlimited features
Some features are unlimited. These currently include:
Number of forms created
Total monthly submissions
Number of User directories connected to your portals/Memory forms
Default emails sent (on paid plans ✔)
Default PDFs generated (on paid plans ✔)
Even though these are unlimited, you can transparently see your current usage in the Workspace usage dashboard. This helps you understand the trends without enforcing a cap.
2. Usage-based add-ons
Some workspace capacities are expanded through usage-based add-ons (monthly/annual). These include:
White labelling
Formaloo branding removal from forms and apps, Custom CSS, Custom JS, and Custom domains
Cloud storage
Additional team member seats
Additional external users
👥 Team members are part of your workspace. They can access the dashboard and manage forms, data, and settings based on their role.
🔐 External users can't access to your workspace but can log in to the portals, or Memory forms you build & share with them.
When you purchase one of these add-ons (monthly or annually), the corresponding feature limit increases for the duration of that subscription. For example, if you purchase additional seats – the newly-added members will retain access while the add-on is active.
3. Credit-based add-ons (non-expiring)
Some features use credits instead of subscription. These include:
Formaloo AI credits
Custom email credits
Custom PDF generation credits
Credits:
Do not expire (carry over until fully consumed)
Are deducted only when used
Are purchased as one-time top-up packages
This model gives you flexibility – you top up only when needed, and unused credits remain in your account.
ℹ️ Sending default emails and generating default PDFs does not use credits. Only custom emails and custom PDFs deduct from your credit balance.
ℹ️ Emails sent through your own SMTP server do not count toward email credits.
4. Coming-soon add-ons
You may also see additional usage metrics (e.g., Data enrichment rows). These are tracked for visibility and may evolve into add-on options in the future.
How add-ons work in Formaloo
Add-ons allow you to increase specific limits as needed, without switching your entire plan. Packages can be either:
Usage-based (monthly or annual)
Credit-based (one-time top-up purchase)
From the Available add-ons tab, you can review the add-ons, and Add ➔ the ones you need to Cart, picking the capacity option and the billing term that suits you best.
ℹ️ Purchasing add-ons in one go
You can purchase any combination of add-ons – the only nuance is that checkout is grouped by type and term:
Credit packages are purchased separately from usage-based add-ons,
Usage-based add-ons added together must share the same billing term (monthly or annual) within the same cart.

Managing team members and external users
Total available and remaining Team member seats and external users are reflected in the Workspace usage page. If you are approaching or have reached your the limit, you can:
Purchase additional Team member seats or External users add-ons
Remove existing team members from your workspace, or deactivate obsolete external users across existing User Directories to free up the seats
ℹ️ Seat-related add-ons are usage-based and expand your workspace capacity while active.
If a seats add-on expires and your workspace is over the current limit, the extra team members (or external users) may lose access until you renew the add-on or reduce the number of users back within your current limit.
📌 Frequently asked questions
➔ Can I purchase add-ons on the Free plan?
No, add-ons are available on paid plans only.
A paid plan acts as the foundation of your workspace - it includes core features, base capacity, and billing infrastructure. Add-ons are designed to extend that foundation, not replace it.
If you’re on the Free plan, you'll still have access to the Add-ons dashboard and the Workspace usage overview so you can see how your needs evolve. When you’re ready to scale, upgrading to a paid plan unlocks the ability to expand further with add-ons.
ℹ️ If your paid plan expires or is canceled, add-ons remain on your account but won’t be usable until your workspace is back on a paid plan.
➔ What happens if I reach a limit?
When you approach a limit, you’ll see a clear indications of that in the Workspace usage tab. Depending on the feature, you may need to purchase additional credits or a subscription-based add-on to expand the current limit.
ℹ️ We’ll also notify you by email – so you can expand your limit in time and avoid any workflow interruptions.
➔ Do credits expire?
No. AI credits, custom email credits, and custom PDF credits do not expire and remain available until used.
➔ Are unlimited features still tracked?
Yes. Some features are unlimited on your plan, and the Workspace usage page will clearly label them as “Unlimited.”
➔ Who can manage add-ons?
Only workspace admins can purchase and manage add-ons.
Bottom line
The new Add-ons page is designed to make growth predictable and transparent. Instead of forcing upgrades, we're aiming to give you visibility and modular control – so you expand your workspace on your terms 🧡
