How to create an NDA form

NDA form safeguards your business's confidential information. Customize templates, add fields, share forms, and export results securely.

An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) form is essential for protecting your business's confidential information when working with employees, contractors, or partners.

Customizing and sharing this form through Formaloo helps ensure sensitive data remains secure and accessible.

For a successful NDA form, make sure it includes:

  1. Appropriate fields, including email verification.

  2. Signature and date fields.

  3. Options to export the results as a PDF.

  4. Secure storage for responses.

Follow these steps to see how to create the NDA form;

Step 1: Select a template or create it from scratch

You can select a template from our template gallery and customize the form or create it from scratch.

  1. Choose a template: Use a pre-made NDA template, or create a new one from scratch by clicking on + New Formaloo > Form in your dashboard.

  2. Edit the form layout: Open the form editor by clicking on Edit Form. This will take you to a dashboard where you can adjust the template and dashboard elements.

Step 2: Add relevant fields

Add fields to capture essential information. Consider including:

  • Text field: For names and additional information on parties involved.

  • Content field: For terms, conditions, and document provisions.

  • Email verification field: To verify the other party’s email.

  • Signature field: To capture an electronic signature.

  • Date field: To mark the date of signing.

  • Multiple-Choice field: For acceptance of terms.

  • Phone field: To collect the other party's contact number.

  • City field: To gather location information.

Step 3: Customize the design

In the Design tab:

  • Add a logo, and cover picture, and customize colors to align with your branding.

  • This all can be done from the design tab on the right sidebar.

Step 4: Share your NDA form

You have two options to share your NDA form:

  1. From the dashboard:

    • Click on the Embed button.

    • In the pop-up, go to the Address tab to access the form’s URL or embed options. Update the form’s slug (URL ending) or assign a custom domain.

    • Copy the link to share directly, or use Embed options to add it to your website as an iframe, script, or chatbot.

  1. From the form editor:

    • Open the form by clicking on Edit Form.

    • In the editor, click on the Share button.

    • Go to the Address tab and copy the URL to share directly or use it for embedding.

These options allow you to share the form either by URL or by embedding it on a website.

Step 5: Manage and export responses as a PDF

To securely save a signed copy of the NDA:

  1. Go to the Responses tab in your app to view the responses in the Table view.

  2. Enable Edit Mode from the top-right to ensure full access to all options.

  3. Select the response row: Click on the specific row with the response you want to export.

  4. Download PDF:

    • In the right-side menu, select Generate. Once the PDF is ready, the Download PDF button will become clickable.

    • Click Download PDF to save the form as a PDF, which will include the captured signature and all response details.
