How to create an NDA form

An NDA (Non‑Disclosure Agreement) form is crucial when working with employees, contractors, or partners to ensure sensitive data stays protected.

For an effective NDA workflow, you'll need:

  • Essential details (company details, terms, etc.),

  • Email verification for authenticity,

  • Signature and date fields to make submissions legally binding,

  • Automatic PDF generation for signed copies,

  • Secure storage of all submissions.

Step 1: Start from a template or build from scratch

You can either use a ready‑made NDA template or create your own from scratch.

    In your dashboard, click +New → Form to build a new form:


Step 2: Add the right fields

Once created, open the form in the editor to adjust its fields, layout, and logic. Add fields that cover all key information required for a signed NDA:

  • Date field: To record the signing date

  • Text fields: To capture the parties’ names and details

  • Email verification field: To confirm the signee's identity

  • Content field: For static information, terms, and confidentiality provisions

  • Choice field: For accepting the terms

  • Signature field: To collect legally binding electronic signatures

Step 3: Customize & design your NDA form

Step 4: Share your NDA form

In the Form Editor, go to Share → Publish to access your form’s link.

  • Edit the URL to customize the end part (slug),

  • Copy the URL and send it to your signatories.

If you prefer to embed the form directly on your website, go to Share → Embed tab to copy the embed code – available as iframe, script, or chatbot format:

Step 5: Review, save, or print your NDA submissions

In Formaloo, you can easily manage your form submissions or even generate signed PDF copies of your NDA for saving or printing – right from your Responses Table. Here, you can:

Step 6: Set up automatic email notifications

You can configure automatic email notifications in your NDA form to keep everyone informed:

  • Team notifications
    Instantly alert your team whenever a new NDA submission arrives,

  • Respondent notifications
    Automatically send respondents a confirmation email with an NDA copy right after they submit the form.
