What you'll build
You'll connect the Formaloo MCP to an AI assistant you already use, Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, so it can act on your Formaloo workspace directly. Once it's connected, you can describe a form, a logic rule, a notification, an email or PDF template, a data block, or a page in your project in plain language, and have it built for you without opening the Formaloo dashboard yourself. The Formaloo MCP is new and we're actively expanding what it can do, so this article covers what it handles well today.
When to use this
You want a form or app to exist right now, from a one-line description, instead of clicking through the editor field by field.
You're already building a client project in Cursor and want the data layer, forms, logic, notifications, to exist in the same conversation, without switching tools.
Someone on your team can describe a workflow clearly in plain English but doesn't want to learn the form editor to build it.
You're iterating on a workflow and want to test a field, a logic rule, or an email tweak in seconds by just asking for it again, instead of reopening settings panels.
Part 1: Connect Formaloo to Claude
The Formaloo MCP is a remote server your AI assistant talks to on your behalf. In Claude, you add it once as a custom connector, and Formaloo then shows up as a tool Claude can use in any chat.
Open your connectors: In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, under Your connectors.
Add a custom connector: Click Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it: Enter
Formalooas the connector name.Paste the MCP URL: For Remote MCP server URL, enter
https://mcp.formaloo.com/mcp.Log in and allow access: Click Continue, log in to your Formaloo workspace, and click Allow.
Test the connection: Start a new chat, enable Formaloo, and try a simple prompt like "create a simple form" to confirm it's connected.
Part 2: Connect Formaloo to ChatGPT
Open Apps & Connectors: In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors.
Turn on developer mode: Enable Developer mode, if it isn't already on.
Create the connector: Click Create connector, name it
Formaloo, and enterhttps://mcp.formaloo.com/mcpas the URL.Authorize it: Choose OAuth, log in to your Formaloo workspace, and click Allow.
Test the connection: Start a new chat, enable Formaloo, and try a simple prompt to confirm it's connected.
Part 3: Connect Formaloo to Cursor
Open MCP settings: In Cursor, go to Settings → Plugins → MCPs.
Add a server: Click Add, then Add MCP server.
Configure it: Name it
Formaloo, set Type to Streamable HTTP, and enterhttps://mcp.formaloo.com/mcpas the URL.Connect: Click Connect.
What you can ask it to do
Once it's connected, you talk to it the way you'd brief a teammate, in plain language, one request at a time.
Forms and fields
Ask it to build a new form from a description, or add, edit, and reorganize fields on one that already exists.

Ask it to draft a branded email template, build a PDF template, and connect either one to a logic rule so it fires automatically.
