How to create a career development survey

Step 1: Create a new survey and add fields and questions

To create your form from scratch, navigate to the dashboard, and click on “+New formaloo“.

There, you have options to create your survey and forms.

Choose Form or Survey: Select whether you want to create a form or a survey. FormLoo offers various options for creating different types of forms.

If you choose to create a survey, FormLoo will automatically generate a default survey with a results page and charts. You can customize this survey later.

Once the form or survey is created, you can click on 'Edit base' to open the default template. Here, you can edit the questions, add new ones, or customize the design according to your preferences.

Enter a meaningful title and description for your career development survey.

Add fields and questions

Click on the 'Add Field' button to add different data types such as text, email, CSAT, Score, etc.

Write relevant questions related to career development, such as current skills, desired roles, and professional goals.

Adjust survey settings, including visibility options, response limits, and whether the survey is anonymous.

CSAT field

This field is a specific type of score field that is used to measure career satisfaction. It typically asks respondents how likely they are to recommend or how they feel about a situation.

Score field - NPS (Net Promoter Score)

The 'Score' field allows you to capture respondent ratings on a numerical scale, making it ideal for measuring satisfaction, performance, or any other quantifiable attribute.

This flexible field can be customized to include a range of options, from simple 0-10 ratings.

With the Score field, you can easily collect quantitative data that provides valuable insights into your respondents' perceptions and experiences.

This information can be used to make informed decisions, improve processes, and enhance overall satisfaction.

Multi-choice question

This versatile field allows you to present a series of predefined options, enabling respondents to select one or more answers that best reflect their choices.

Whether you're gathering preferences, assessing knowledge, or evaluating opinions, the Multi-Choice question is a powerful tool for gathering structured feedback.

Dropdown field

This straightforward field allows respondents to choose from a predefined list of options, making it ideal for gathering categorical data or limiting responses to a specific set of choices.

Long text field

For open-ended questions like:

  • What areas do you see for improvement in the company's career development program?

  • What suggestions do you have for creating a more supportive and engaging career development environment for employees?

  • Do you have any other comments or feedback on your career development at this company?

select the 'Long Text' field type to allow participants to provide detailed and comprehensive responses.

This ensures that respondents can share their thoughts openly, providing valuable insights for a more comprehensive understanding of their perspectives on career development within the company.

Step 2: Customize the survey with design and settings options

Choose a color scheme that aligns with your organization's branding. Change the font styles and sizes, and upload your company logo to personalize the survey.

Select a background that complements the overall design. Customize the color of the survey submission button.

Step 3: Set up email notifications for real-time responses

Activate the option to receive email notifications for each survey response.

Configure notification settings, including the email address and email template.

Step 4: View survey results

Create a portal, and add your form. Now, you can add result pages to your portal.

There are different options for the result page:

  • Tables: View responses in a tabular format.

  • Kanban: Organize responses in a Kanban-style board.

  • Gallery: Display responses in a visually appealing gallery format.

  • Charts: Visualize data through different chart types.
