How to connect Google Sheets to your form

Sync your form with Google Sheets. Connect, enter sheet details, and enjoy automatic response syncing for seamless data management.

Integrating Google Sheets with Formaloo allows you to automatically transfer form responses to a Google Sheet, making data management easier.

Follow these simple steps to connect Google Sheets to your form:

Step 1: Access the App Store

  1. Log in to your Formaloo account.

  2. In the dashboard, click on the profile icon located at the top-right corner.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select App Store.

Step 2: Select Google Sheets integration

  1. In the App Store, find and click on Google Sheets.

  2. A new popup will appear, presenting three tabs:

    • Description: Provides details about what the integration does.

    • Add new integration: This is where you can set up a new connection.

    • Active integrations: Manage existing connections here (edit, delete, or resync).

Step 3: Add new integration

  1. To add a new integration, click on the Add new integration tab.

  2. Select the base form you want to connect with Google Sheets.

  3. Enter the Sheet title (this will be the name of the Google Sheet).

  4. Paste the Sheet URL (the link to your Google Sheet).

  5. Click Connect to complete the integration.

6. Click on the Active Integrations tab and resync your data.

Manage active integrations

  • If you’ve previously set up integrations, you can view and manage them in the Active Integrations tab.

  • Here, you can:

    • Edit: Update settings or change the linked form or sheet.

    • Delete: Remove the integration if it's no longer needed.

    • Resync: Manually synchronize the data between the form and the Google Sheet.

⭐ Pro tip:

To connect your form to Google Sheets, make sure to:

  • You're the owner of the formaloo, which means you must have created the formaloo with your current account. Only the user who has created a formaloo can connect it to third-party tools.

  • The Google account you connected to your Formaloo workspace has sufficient access to the Google Sheets you're trying to connect to here.

  • You provided all requested access levels when connecting your Google Sheets.

If you haven't provided necessary access while connecting your Google account, follow these steps:

  1. Open your profile settings and disconnect your Google account.

  2. Then go back to the same page. On this page, click the Connect Google button.

  3. Sign in to your Google account and make sure to mark all checkboxes to provide Formaloo access to edit your Google Sheets and sync your data.

  4. Connect your Sheet with your formaloo by providing the Sheet name and URL. Make sure the title of the Sheet and its link match the Sheet you want to be synced with your formaloo data.

⭐ Pro tip:

Remember when you are adding your Google Sheet, the sheet title is at the bottom of the page, and you should use the related sheet URL.

For example, if you want to change sheet 2 to sheet 1, the title and URL of the sheet will be different and should be changed.

🗄️ Old dashboard:

To connect your Google Sheet to your form on the old dashboard, right-click on your form and select “view responses.

Go to the “Integration & Webhook” tab, and select “Connect to Google Sheets”.

Login to your Google account and open the form responses again.

Now, enter the sheet name and URL of the same sheet.

Your form is connected to your Google Sheet and it syncs the responses automatically from your form.
