Why form stop syncing with Google Sheet

Check column order and sheet title. Reconnect and resync data easily.

Updated over a month ago

If your form has stopped syncing with Google Sheets, it could be due to certain changes made in the Google Sheets.

To help ensure a smooth syncing process, please review the following Essential Guidelines:

⛔ Essential guidelines

  • Do Not change column names: Altering column names in Google Sheets may disrupt the sync process.

  • Do Not modify certain columns: Avoid editing data in the "submitted at" and "Formaloo Record ID" columns, as these are essential for maintaining sync.

  • Avoid adding data beyond the "Formaloo Record ID" Column: Adding data after this column can interfere with syncing.

  • Do Not change data during syncing: While syncing is in progress, avoid making any changes to the sheet to prevent potential errors.

  • Do Not change or rename Sheet title: If you change the title of the Google Sheet, you’ll need to reconnect the sheet to your Formaloo form.

In all cases, you can resolve these issues by re-syncing or managing the connection in the Active Integrations tab.

Steps to reconnect and resync data

  • Click on the profile icon located at the top-right corner, and from the dropdown menu, select App Store.

  • In the App Store, find and click on Google Sheets. A new popup will appear, presenting three tabs:

    • Description: Provides details about what the integration does.

    • Active integrations: Manage existing connections here (edit, delete, or resync).

⭐ Pro tip:

Remember when you are adding your Google Sheet, the sheet title is at the bottom of the page, and you should use the related sheet URL.

For example, if you want to change sheet 2 to sheet 1, the title and URL of the sheet will be different and should be changed.
