Users can easily save and resume filling out forms later with the Partial submit feature.

What is partial submission?

Partial submission allows you to view unfinished responses from users who start answering the form, fill in some questions, and leave before completing the submission.

With this feature enabled, users can conveniently continue where they left off using a unique auto-generated form link.

How to enable partial submission

  1. Go to the form editor and navigate to the Settings tab.

  2. Find the "Partial Submit" toggle and turn it on.

  3. Auto-save is now enabled! As users fill out the form, their progress is saved, and a unique link is generated.

📝 Additional Insights:

In addition to auto-saving, you can also enable the "Show save now and resume later" button.

How users can resume their forms

  • As users fill out the form, a unique resume link is automatically created.

  • Users can copy and save the link to return to the form at any time.

  • If they close the form and reopen it using the saved link, their previous answers will still be there.

⭐ Pro tip:

  1. When Partial Submission is enabled, data is automatically saved every 30 seconds.

  2. Users must copy and save the link after answering a few questions if they plan to continue later.

  3. The Save & Resume button is helpful for users who prefer to manually save their progress.

How partial submissions appear in the responses table

Once a user partially submits a form, their response appears in the responses table with an orange circle next to their name.

This indicates that the submission is incomplete and was auto-saved before the user fully submitted the form.

You can still view and access these partial responses, allowing you to follow up or analyze the data even if the user hasn’t completed the form yet.
