This can be helpful for quizzes, contests, or any situation where you want to encourage quick responses.

⭐ Pro tip:

Include a clear message about the time limit in the form description to avoid user frustration.

Here's how to use the timer:

  1. Access the form editor: Open the form you want to edit in Formaloo.

  2. Navigate to settings: Click on the "Settings" tab located at the top of the editor.

  3. Add the timer: Locate the "Timer" option on the left menu and choose your desired time limit. You can set hours and minutes.

What users will see:

When users open the form link, a timer will be displayed prominently, indicating the remaining time to complete the form.

Once the timer reaches zero, the form will show a message that the time is over:

Users can't disable or pause the timer once they start filling out the form.

⭐ Pro tip:

When the timer is enabled, the users can not submit the form after the time is up. You can enable partial submission (auto-save) so that the form URL will automatically update as the user fills out the form.

This way you will receive their responses on the result page even if they haven't submitted the form.
