How to set up multiple ending pages with redirect logic

Create different success messages based on user answers. Use logic to redirect users to the perfect ending for their form journey.

Updated over a week ago

You can create different success messages based on the user's answers using multiple ending pages and logic redirection.

This helps provide a more personalized experience for users based on their responses.

🧩 Template:

For a ready-made solution, you can use this Online English Placement Test Template to easily set up redirections and customize the ending pages based on user responses.

Follow these easy steps to create your customized ending pages:

Step 1: Create your form

  1. Go to the dashboard: Click on + New Formaloo and select your desired project (form or survey).

  2. Add questions: Add the necessary question fields to your form, such as a single-choice question that determines the redirection path based on the user's answer.

For example, in the Online English placement test template, users answer questions to determine their English level.

Step 2: Create multiple ending pages

  1. Add a new ending page: After adding your form's content, click the + icon on the lower left side of the form editor to add a new ending page.

  2. Customize each ending page: Create different messages for each ending page, based on the user's score.

    • For example, A1 for a lower score, showing a message like: "Your total score is @total_score, and your English language level is A1."

    • For A2, you could show: "Your total score is @total_score, and your English language level is A2."

On the right sidebar, you can enter the title (e.g., A1 or A2) that will later be referenced in the logic settings.

Step 3: Use logic to redirect users to a specific success message

  1. Go to logic settings: In your form editor, navigate to the Logic tab and click the Advanced Logic button.

The logic settings allow you to define conditions, such as redirecting users based on their scores.

  2. Set conditions: Scroll down to the end of your logic page. Add conditions under the "On Submitting The Form" section to determine which ending page should be displayed.

    • For example:

      • If the Total Score is less than or equal to 1, redirect to A1.

      • If the Total Score is equal to 2, redirect to A2.

      • Similarly, you can set logic for other score ranges to show relevant ending pages (e.g., B1, B2 for higher scores).

The logic settings show how conditions like Total Score can trigger specific ending pages such as A1 or A2.

Step 4: Test your form

  1. Preview the form:
Before publishing, preview the form to ensure that the correct ending pages are shown based on the conditions you set.

  2. Make adjustments if needed:
Ensure the right logic is applied for all possible responses or actions.
