What are Form IDs and how to find and use them

Learn what Form IDs are in Formaloo, how to find them in project settings, and how to use them to accurately search and connect forms.

Updated today

Form IDs help you uniquely identify each form in your project, even if multiple forms have the same name.

What is a Form ID

A Form ID is a unique code automatically assigned to every form in Formaloo.
Because form names can be duplicated, the Form ID ensures the system always refers to the correct form.

How to find a Form ID

  1. Open your project.

  2. Click the Settings icon in the top right of the navigation bar.

  3. Go to the Linked Forms section.

  4. Find the Form ID listed next to each form.

Each form has its own unique Form ID.

How to use Form IDs

You can use Form IDs anywhere a form search or selection is required, including:

  • The form search box on the Home page.

  • Searching for forms in the Integrations tab.

  • Connecting a form to a user profile.

  • Any feature that asks you to select or reference a form.

Using the Form ID helps you quickly find the exact form you need and avoids confusion when forms share the same name.
