How to add a live embed page to your project

Updated over a month ago

A Live embed page lets you display an external web page or content (such as a document, video, or board) inside your Formaloo app. When users open this page, the embedded content appears right within your app’s environment.

You can embed:

  • Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides

  • YouTube or Vimeo videos

  • Miro or Figma boards

  • Maps (Google Maps, etc.)

  • Any website that allows embedding

Note: You can enter any link, but not all websites allow their pages to be embedded. If the page doesn’t display, check the source site’s sharing and embed settings.

How to add a live embed page

1. Enable edit mode

  • Open your app in Formaloo.

  • Switch on Edit mode (find the toggle at the top right).

2. Add a live embed page

  • In the left sidebar, click the ▼ arrow next to New Page.

  • Select Live embed page from the dropdown.

3. Paste your link or embed code

  • In the window that opens, paste the public link or embed code for the content you want to display.

    • Example: A Google Doc link set to “Anyone with the link can view.”

  • Click Create to add the live embed page to your app.

Here’s how it looks in your project:

Tips and requirements

  • The link must be public or set to “anyone with the link.” Private or restricted links won’t display.

  • Not all websites support embedding. If your page doesn’t show up, check if the source allows embedding in iframes.

  • No login-required pages: Content that needs a login usually cannot be embedded.

Troubleshooting

Content not displaying?

  • Make sure your link is public and embeddable.

  • Double-check the URL for typos.

  • Some sites may block embedding for security reasons.
