Formaloo makes it easy to build interactive forms, apps, and dashboards from scratch. Here’s a quick guide to get started on your blank project.
How to create a blank form
Building a blank form in Formaloo is quick and flexible, allowing you to start from scratch or customize a template.
Step 1: Start a new form
1. Open the dashboard: Click on +New Formaloo in your dashboard.
2. Choose "Form" or "Survey":
Form: Use this option to create a blank form where you can add any fields you need.
Survey: Choose this for feedback-oriented forms, like surveys and questionnaires.
3. Customize initial setup: Formaloo generates a default form structure, including a results page and charts that you can customize later.
Step 2: Add fields and customize the design
Enable Edit mode: Click on Edit Form to start customizing.
Add fields: Insert questions, text fields, and media to create a form tailored to your needs.
Design your form: Use the right-side menu to adjust colors, add logos, and customize the submit button.
Step 3: Publish and share your form
Publish the form: Once your form is ready, go live by publishing it.
Share the URL:
Click on the Embed button in the dashboard to get the form’s public URL or embed code.
Or, go to the form editor, select Share, and copy the link under Address for easy sharing.
Embed options: Formaloo offers various embed formats (Iframe, Script, Chatbot) to fit your sharing needs.
Step 4: View and export responses
View results: Access your data by going to the Result page in your app.
Export data: Click Settings > Export This Table to download responses as an Excel file.

How to create a blank app
With Formaloo’s app builder, you can create interactive dashboards with custom pages, forms, and display options, all accessible in one place.
Step 1: Start a new app
1. Open the dashboard: Click on +New Formaloo.
2. Choose "Dashboard": Selecting Dashboard starts a blank app with two default pages, ready for customization.
3. Enable Edit Mode: Turn on Edit Mode to modify pages, delete unnecessary content, and add new features.
Step 2: Customize pages and add media
Edit pages: Enable Edit Mode to adjust each page’s content, text, and layout.
Add images & videos: Use media options on each page to enhance user engagement.
Text customization: Personalize your app’s look by adjusting fonts, colors, and layout.
Step 3: Add forms and result pages
Add forms:
Create a new form: Use the /form command or click + to create a new form within your app.
Insert existing forms: Select from previously created forms and embed them seamlessly into the app.
Add result pages:
Click the + button on your dashboard and choose display views like Table, Gallery, Kanban, or Chart View.
Under Base, link your form’s data by selecting the title of the form you want displayed.
Step 4: Publish and share your app
Enable Public View: Go to Settings > Public View and enable it to make your app accessible.
Get the Public URL:
Click Share at the top of the app, select Address, and copy the URL.
Alternatively, use embed options for integration with websites or direct sharing.
Step 5: Manage and export data
Access data views: Go to the Result page to view responses in various formats (Table, Gallery, Kanban, etc.).
Export data: In Settings, select Export This Table to download the data in Excel format.
