How to remove tables, column layouts, and collapsible blocks

Learn how to delete tables, column layouts, and collapsible elements in Formaloo content fields, pages, emails, and PDF templates quickly and correctly.

Updated this week

Tables, column layouts, and collapsible blocks are layout elements in Formaloo. They behave differently from normal text, which is why removing them can feel confusing at first.

These elements are removed as full blocks, not as text.

How to remove these elements

  • Hover your mouse over the table, column layout, or collapsible block

  • Wait until the entire element becomes selectable

  • Press the Delete or Backspace key on your keyboard

The whole element will be removed at once.

What to expect when selecting elements

  • Tables usually show a clear visual highlight when selected

  • Collapsible blocks also show a visible highlight around the block

  • Column layouts may not show a strong highlight, even when selected

Even if the highlight is not obvious, the column layout is still selectable and can be deleted using the same method.

What you do not need to do

  • You do not need to right click

  • You do not need to select text inside the element

  • You do not need to leave the element empty

These components are always removed at the block level.

Where this applies

This behavior is the same in:

  • Content fields

  • Landing and ending pages

  • Email templates

  • PDF templates
