Step 1: Where to find your SMTP settings
In your Formaloo dashboard, open your Profile (top-right corner).
Go to Apps & Integrations → Email templates.
Open the Custom SMTP tab to view, edit, or add your SMTP details.
Step 2: Updating your SMTP details
The blue Update button lights up only when every required field is filled in.
If it stays greyed out, clear each field and re-enter the values to trigger validation. Try retyping the password manually if it's been added by an auto-fill previously.
Step 3: Password requirements
Most providers require an app-specific password for SMTP (not your regular email login password).
Generate an app password in your email provider’s security settings and paste it into the SMTP password field.
Step 4: Connection details to double-check
SMTP host, port, and correct TLS/SSL settings.
Username matches the from email.
No extra spaces at the start/end of any field.
Step 5: Enabling your custom SMTP in email templates
Go to Profile → Apps & Integrations → Email templates.
Open each custom template you want to send using your SMTP.
Scroll down the right-hand panel, and select your Custom SMTP server instead of the default Formaloo email server.
Save the template.
Step 6: If it still doesn’t work
Try re-typing the details in the fields one by one.
If the Update button still won’t enable, share a screenshot with our Support team of the full SMTP configuration so we can check what might be blocking it.
