Formaloo's template gallery is filled with professionally designed apps and forms to save you time and effort.

Whether you’re managing projects, handling customer support, or planning campaigns, you’ll find a template to meet your needs.

This tutorial will guide you through the process of using a template from the gallery, from selecting it to setting it up in your workspace.

Step 1: Pick a template and select your workspace

select workspace
  1. Browse and choose a template
Start by visiting Formaloo’s Template Gallery and browsing the available options. Once you've found a template that suits your needs, click the "Use Template" button.

  2. Select your workspace
After clicking the button, you’ll be prompted to select the workspace where you’d like to use this template. Simply pick the desired workspace from the dropdown menu.

    💡 Pro Tip:
To unlock all the advanced features of the template, make sure you're selecting an upgraded workspace. Upgraded workspaces allow for full customization, access to analytics, and integration options.

Step 2: Rename and update the logo

After selecting the template and workspace, you can customize the app to suit your needs.

To start editing, enable Edit Mode from the top-right side of the screen.

enable edit mode
  1. Change the logo
Click on the logo in the top-left corner of the app. You’ll see an option to upload a new logo or remove the existing one. Upload your desired logo to personalize the app.

  2. Rename the app
Next, click on the app's name, which is editable. Type in a new name that reflects the purpose of your app or aligns with your branding.

Customizing the app logo and name is a quick way to make the template your own and give it a professional look.

Step 3: Customize page options

Once you’ve renamed and updated the app logo, you can further personalize your template by customizing the page options.

page options
  1. Access page options
To modify a page, click on the three dots (•••) next to the page name in the left sidebar, then select Page options from the dropdown menu.

Adjust font and page width

  • In the Page options menu on the right side, you can change the font style to Default, Serif, or Monospace to better match your branding or preferences.

  • You can also adjust the Page width to Standard, Wide, or Narrow, depending on how you want the content to be displayed.

These options give you the flexibility to fine-tune the visual appearance of your app for better usability and aesthetics.

Step 4: Add new pages and rearrange their order

To organize your app more effectively, you can either add new pages or create groups (menus) to include multiple pages under a single category.

reorder pages and add new pages
  1. Add a new group

  • Click on the + Add New button in the left sidebar.

  • Select New group from the dropdown menu.

  • Name the group to categorize your pages effectively. Groups allow you to organize related pages into one menu for better navigation.

2. Add a new page

  • Click on the + Add New button and select New Page.

  • You can add a FormTableKanban, or another layout to this page.

  • Customize the new page based on your needs.

3. Reorder pages or groups

  • Drag and drop pages or groups in the left sidebar to reorder them.

  • Organize the structure of your app for a logical flow and better user experience.

Adding and rearranging pages lets you customize the structure of your app to better suit your workflow and user experience.

Step 5: Customize the style of your form for sharing inside the app

If you want your form to be used and submitted directly inside the app (for users who access the app), you can customize the form's style to align with your app's design and branding.

Step 7: Customize settings for Table, Kanban, Gallery, and Chart views

In your app, you can customize the settings for various views such as Table, Kanban, Gallery, and Chart to better organize and display your data.

Additionally, you can use the Import & Export feature to manage your data efficiently.

  1. Access view options

  • Navigate to the page with your desired view (e.g., Table, Kanban, Gallery, or Chart).

  • Click on the Options button in the top-right corner of the view.

  • Click Edit Base to add or modify fields, rename columns, or change the structure of the base form for the view.

  • Adjust the layout (e.g., for Gallery or Kanban views) to enhance usability and appearance.

These customization options are not limited to tables—they apply to all views, allowing you to tailor the presentation of data for different needs. For example:

  • Use Kanban for workflow management.

  • Use Gallery for visual displays like images or project cards.

  • Use Charts for data visualization.

Customizing views ensures your app is flexible and user-friendly, catering to both administrators and users.

import and export data
  • Import data
Click Import data to add data to your current base.

    • Existing data in the base will remain intact, and the imported data will be added.

    • This feature is especially helpful for bulk uploads or integrating data from other sources like spreadsheets.

  • Export this table
Use Export this table to download the data currently displayed in the table.

    • This will export only the data with the applied filters and the columns visible in this view.

    • It’s useful for sharing a specific set of data with your team.

  • Full Export this base’s data
Select Full Export to download the entire dataset from the base.

    • This includes all fields, even data not filtered in the current view.

    • Ideal for creating comprehensive backups or migrating data.

Step 8: Enable and share the public view of your app
