By the end of this guide, you'll understand how Formaloo's version history protects your forms and rows, every change gets recorded automatically, with who made it and when, so nothing is ever truly lost. If a form (including any of its fields or settings) or a row (a single response) gets changed or deleted by mistake, Formaloo can restore the exact version it was before.
When to use this
A required field or logic rule on a form stopped working and nobody remembers changing it
A teammate edited a live response and you need to know exactly what changed
A form broke right before a deadline and you need to roll it back fast
You manage forms across a large team and need an audit trail for compliance
A workspace member accidentally deleted a field, or edited a row incorrectly
How it works
Version history is available as part of the Enterprise Versioning add-on, and covers two things: forms (including their fields, logic, and settings) and rows (individual responses). It isn't something you click through yourself in this phase, it's a support-assisted safety net that runs in the background.
Enable the add-on for your workspace. Reach out to our Formaloo support to turn on Enterprise Versioning. It isn't included by default on any plan.
Keep working normally. Once it's active, every change to a form, field edits, logic rule changes, setting updates, and every change to a row, a response being edited or updated is automatically recorded.
Notice something's wrong. A field disappeared from a form, or a specific row's data looks different than it should.
Contact Formaloo support. Reach out to Formaloo support For and specify whether it's the form itself or a specific row. Support can pull up the history, who changed it, the value before and after, and when.
Request a restore. Support can roll the form or the row back to the version it was before the change, without losing any history in between.
ℹ️ This is currently a support-assisted process; there's no self-serve version history panel inside the form editor yet.
Final result
You now have a safety net running quietly behind every form and every row in your workspace. Nothing your team changes is ever truly gone, every edit to a form or a response is logged, and any of it can be rolled back with support's help.
