Simply describe how you want your form to look, and Magic Design will suggest the right colors, fonts, layout, spacing, width, and even the most suitable form type for your use case.
You can generate completely new themes or improve existing ones while keeping full control over the final design.

When to use this
Use Magic Design when:
You want your form to look professional without spending time on design
You're creating forms for clients and need branded designs quickly
You have a color palette or visual style in mind but don't want to configure every setting manually
You're building surveys, quizzes, or application forms and want the design to match the experience
You're embedding a form on your website and want it to fit naturally into the page
Choose how you want to use Magic Design
Magic Design can be used in two different ways:
Create a brand-new theme
Use this option when you want AI to generate a completely new design without changing your current theme.
Improve an existing theme
Use this option when you already have a theme you like and want AI to refine or update it.
⚠️ The way Magic Design behaves depends on where you launch it from.
From the Formaloo AI menu → creates a new theme draft
From the Theme editor → updates the currently selected them
Create a brand-new theme
Step 1: Open the Magic Design generator
Open your form in form editor.
Click Formaloo AI in the top toolbar and select Magic Design.
A popup will appear asking you to describe how you'd like your form to look.
Step 2: Describe your ideal design
In the text box, describe the style you'd like to generate.
Examples:
Modern SaaS onboarding form with soft blue accents
Elegant wedding RSVP form with cream and rose-gold colors
Playful quiz for students with bright colors and rounded buttons
Professional enterprise application form with dark navy accents
You can describe:
Colors
Mood
Audience
Branding
Form purpose
Whether the form will be embedded on a website
💡 The more specific your prompt, the more tailored the result will be. Mention colors, branding, audience, mood, or where the form will be used.
Step 3: Generate the design
Click Generate design, Magic Design analyzes:
your prompt
your form title
your form description
Then it creates a new theme draft and applies it to the form preview.
ℹ️ You can leave the description empty and still generate a design. Magic Design will use your form title and description to create a suitable theme automatically.
Step 4: Review and customize the result
Once the design is generated, you'll immediately see the updated preview.
You can continue editing any part of the design manually, including:
colors
fonts
layout
spacing
width
form type
Nothing is locked.
Step 5: Save or discard the new theme
If you're happy with the design, click Add theme or Publish.
The generated theme becomes part of your saved theme library and can be reused anytime.
If you don't like the result, click Reset changes.
The draft theme will be removed and your previous theme will remain unchanged.
Improve an existing theme
Step 1: Open the theme editor
Open your form, switch to the Design tab, and select the theme you'd like to improve.
The Theme Editor sidebar will open.
Step 2: Launch Magic Design
Click the ✨ Magic Design icon in the top-right corner of the Theme Editor.
The same Magic Design popup will appear.
ℹ️ Unlike the AI menu workflow, no new theme is created here; the existing theme is updated instead.
Step 3: Describe what you'd like to change
You can request a complete redesign or only update specific elements.
Examples:
Keep everything but make the buttons orange
Use a more professional font
Make the form wider for embedding
Use a warmer color palette
⚠️ Only changing one thing?
If you want to update a specific part of your theme, not redesign the whole thing, always launch Magic Design from the Theme Editor, not the Formaloo AI menu. This way, Magic Design updates your existing theme instead of creating a new one from scratch.
Some examples of targeted prompts that work well here:
"Change the font to something more modern and minimal"
"Make the button color orange"
"Use a darker background for better contrast"
The more specific you are, the less Magic Design will change outside of what you asked for.
Step 4: Generate and review the changes
Click Generate design.
Magic Design updates the currently selected theme and refreshes the preview instantly.
💡 Magic Design creates a starting point, not a final lock-in. You can continue adjusting colors, fonts, layouts, spacing, and widths manually after generation.
Step 5: Save or discard the changes
Review the updated design, you can continue adjusting settings manually before saving.
If you save, the theme is updated permanently.
If you discard, the theme returns to the version it had before Magic Design made changes.
What Magic Design won't change
To keep your work safe, Magic Design does not modify:
form fields
field content
logic
email templates
success pages
portal settings
custom CSS
logos
uploaded images
cover images
button text
Anything you've configured in these areas stays unchanged.
