By default, Formaloo's One Question Per Page form type shows every field on its own page, which is great for forms and quizzes, but can feel fragmented when you're collecting multiple personal details (name, surname, address, consents) that belong together.
This guide shows you how to keep some of your questions one-per-page while grouping all personal data fields onto a single page using the Classic form type and Page break fields.
When to use this
You're running a form, quiz, or recommendation form and the personal data section feels repetitive across multiple pages
You collect identity fields together (name, surname, email, address, phone) and want them visible on one screen for context
You need to display GDPR or marketing consents next to the data they relate to, instead of on a separate page
You want the guided pacing of one-question-per-page early in the form, but a faster checkout-style page at the end
Step-by-step
1. Open your form and go to the Design tab
Open the form you want to edit. At the top of the form editor, click the Design tab.
2. Switch the form layout to Classic
Set the layout to Classic in the form's active theme in form's Design settings. The Classic form type allows multiple fields to live on a single page by default; unlike One question at a time, which forces each field onto its own page.
ℹ️ Switching layout doesn't delete any fields or answers, it only changes how the form is displayed to respondents.
3. Re-create the one-question-per-page experience
In Classic mode, all fields appear on the same page by default. To keep some questions feeling like one-per-page, insert a Page break field.
Add a Page break: in the form editor, select the three dots in front of the question title and click Add to add a new field after the question. Choose New Page to add a new page break.
💡 Drag-and-drop fields between pages to ensure they land on the correct page. When you drop a field on another field, it will move below it.
Repeat after every question that should appear alone on its own page.
4. Group your fields together with no page break between them
Check the left fields list sidebar to make sure the fields you want are on the same page. For example, you can group name, surname, and address fields, one after another on the same page, with no page break between them.
💡 You can even add a single page to include your form title & description. To do so:
Add a Content field to the first page and make sure it's the only field on the page.
Write the page title & description inside that Content field.
Disable Show form title from the Advanced section of the form theme in Design tab.
Final result
Your form now feels like the best of both worlds: respondents move through some of your fields one question at a time, keeping focus and pacing high, and then land on a single, well-organized page to enter their personal data, consents, and other info in one go. Less friction, fewer clicks, and a much cleaner experience for the consumer data section.
