Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is used by employers and HR teams to manage the recruitment process. It helps automate the collection, sorting, and analysis of resumes and job applications.
The main goal of an ATS is to streamline hiring workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the candidate experience.
🧩 Check-out and use the ready-made applicant tracking system template.
Step 1: Create a dashboard
First, go to your workspace and click on + New Formaloo. Then name the project.
This will lead you to the dashboard template that can be fully customized.
Step 2: Customize the dashboard
Now that you've added a template dashboard, enable edit mode and start customizing the view.
You can change the name and the logo of the dashboard just by clicking on them. Click once to change the logo and double-click to change the title.
You can delete the content written on pages just by selecting it and delete with the backspace key.
Menus and pages can also be customized. You can add as many menus and pages as you wish. This makes the organization a lot easier.
For the applicant tracking system, let's leave one page where we can track applicants and manage them easily. Delete the "all reports" page from the template.
Now you can rename "summary" by double-clicking on it. You can rename it to "Tracking" and choose the appropriate icon by clicking on the icon.
Step 3: Add a form
Now it's time to add a form to our page "Tracking".
Type the "/" icon or click on the "Insert" button to add a block for a form.
Now click on "new form" and customize it with the content you'd like to see. You can use the job application form template or create your own from scratch.
⭐️ Pro tip:
Make a single-choice field "admin-only" so data will be displayed in Kanban boards according to the status.
Once your form is ready, go back to the dashboard.
Now insert a data-view option: Kabnan. Connect it to the correct base. In this case to "job application form". Or if you renamed it, to that form.
After this, you can delete the form from the page. This will not delete the base, only the form view.
You can either click on the six dots displayed next to the form and click on "delete", or scroll down the page and just click on the backspace key.
You can still access the form by clicking on "edit base" from the Kanban board.
Step 4: Adjust the display of the Kanban board
First, click on Group by to group applicants by the correct category. In this case, choose the admin-only field you created with appropriate categories. In this case, it's "status".
Once you have submissions, your data will be displayed here. To manage what you see on the cards, click on Customize cards. Tick the information you want to be displayed on cards.
After you have the results, your dashboard will look like this:
And that's it!
