How to select or change the users' table in your portal

Manage your user database efficiently by selecting, modifying, or switching your users table.

Updated over a week ago

In Formaloo, the Users Table is the database that stores all registered users in your portal.

It contains essential details like email addresses and user roles, allowing you to control access levels and permissions for different users.

By selecting or changing the Users Table, you can:

✅ Manage user roles and permissions
✅ Add or import new users into your system
✅ Control access to different pages in your portal

Follow this Step-by-Step guide to see how to change the users table:

Step 1: Open users table menu

  1. Open your portal in Formaloo.

  2. Enable edit mode to continue editing your portal.

  3. Click on the Users icon in the top-right corner.

  4. Select Manage settings.

  5. Select Change user base to modify the existing user database.

Step 2: Choose how you want to manage the users' table

After clicking the Change user base button, you will see three options to add or modify your users table:

Option 1: Create a new user table

  • Click on + New user base to create a fresh database for storing user information.

  • This will be the default table where new sign-ups are added.

Option 2: Import existing users

Option 3: Select an existing user table

  • If you already have a user table in your workspace, you can select it from the list.

  • This is useful if you manage multiple portals and want to share a single users database.

Final notes:

  • Changing the users table will not delete existing users but may affect how access is managed.

  • If you select a new table, ensure all required fields (like email and role) are correctly set up.

  • You can always modify user access levels later from the portal settings.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your portal’s user database, ensuring smooth access control and organization.
